We want to thank you so much for the positive comments in your article, “Yearlings of Yesterday” in which you highlighted our mare, Highest Ground, and her babies. We are looking forward to the future of our mares and foals, and the blessings that have been bestowed on us. Thank you again.
Thank you, the pleasure was mine! I am very excited to follow your Thoroughbreds. I hope they have very happy and successful lives as broodmares, race horses and loving pets.
Happy New Year, John! Thank you for your dedication and insight as well. I’m glad you love the blog, I love your work as well. Hoping 2016 brings big success to you!
Alyssa, I honestly don’t know who the oldest active Thoroughbred is? Thank you for asking. I found nothing with a Google search but I will ask around on some Thoroughbred based Facebook groups to see if I can give us an answer.
Where did you get the 3 pictures of Noor? You have one with his trainer Burley Parke and another showing him just standing, and the final one with his exercise rider Louis Ewing. They are in frames. I am the person who moved Noor’s remains back to Kentucky and I am always interested in photos that I have not seen before.
I attended a lecture by Toby about his book on Noor at the Keeneland Library and they had the pictures on display. Michael Blowen from Old Friends was there. He may know more about the pictures!
June 3, 2015, you posted “A Night for Noor” with pictures and I was wondering where you got the pictures. I made this same inquiry yesterday and posted it but I see today where it is gone. I am the person who moved Noor to Kentucky.
I didn’t remove your 1st comment and I appreciate your inquiry and what you did to for Noor. The lecture spoke of your great efforts to bring Noor to a respectable resting place. I really enjoyed the lecture at Keeneland and my trip to Old Friends. If Blowen doesn’t know about the pictures perhaps Toby or the staff of the Keeneland library can help you. Thanks again!
I would love to see the plaques. I started looking at them when MN it started pouring down the road. I live in nc so unable to go backnup there. Thank you so.much.
Hello! My business partner and I run a facebook vlog (all things thoroughbred) and we would love to interview you! Please contact me if you are interested!
I ran into Keith last night at Shamrocks and gave him a 2020 Derby ring that I had made. I would like to speak to you about this ring and other Authentic rings I have had made if you are open to a discussion. My name is Ed Inman. If any interest get back to me. Thank you. Ed
I am interested in watching the 2015 documentary/ jockumentary Heart, Hope and Glory, directed by John Rousseau, but am unable to find it in its entirety.; can only see the 2015 trailer. Was it never distributed? Its website is not functional, and Vimeo doesn’t recognize it. Any information provided would be most appreciated, thanks.
I do not think it ever got produced because American Pharoah won prior to the release and it changed the story line up too much. The story was more about how the Triple Crown had not been won in such a long time. Thank you for asking. I met John and was interested in helping him with this film years ago.
You did do the background on hip 6.
Yes, I did! Thank you for the info, Monty.

Hello :] I am wondering if you know who is the oldest thoroughbred racehorse in the U.S., who was still actively participating in races in 2015?
