The 41st running of the Iroquois Stakes and the 54th running of the Pocahontas Stakes were the very first stakes to offer points to qualify for the 149th KY Derby and KY Oaks. Lewis Stakes. Writing from my very chilly Kentucky home, my thoughts are with warmer Florida today.
