Thoroughbred U is going back to the track! Record breaking and racing returns to Keeneland October, 2022. Fall Stars Weekend kicks off 22 stakes and 17 days of full card, live racing. 11 races will offer “Win and You’re In” berths into the Breeders’ Cup, which will also be hosted by Keeneland, this November. Additionally, races On The Road To The Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks will take place at Keeneland, this Fall Meet. Thoroughbred U is keen on Keeneland, my hometrack. So it begins! Saturday, September 17, 2022, Churchill Downs hosted the first races on The Road to the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks. The 41st running of the Iroquois Stakes and the 54th running of the Pocahontas Stakes were the very first stakes to offer points to qualify for the 149th KY Derby and KY Oaks. Lexington, KY is set to send love and contenders to the world famous Kentucky Derby! Last weekend, in Lexington, the Blue Grass Stakes awarded KY Derby prep points to four fine thoroughbreds. This Saturday, they are doing it again! The Stonestreet Lexington Stakes will be the final chance to qualify to race in the 2022 Kentucky Derby.
