A Bright Outlook On The Belmont
Back to the best in racing. It is time for the third jewel of The Triple Crown! The Belmont Stakes posts this Saturday and I have a bright outlook on the contenders. “The Test Of The Champion” is generally full of surprises and this year will be just as bewildering. I am breaking down all the background and basic information on Belmont’s big race for you.

In a year rife with changed and cancelled plans it has been a comfort to me that Thoroughbred horse racing has managed to continue, though in an altered manner . Looking for the silver lining in life, it brings me pleasure to remember these silver platters, the Belmont Stakes Trays. The winner Of the Belmont Stakes receives the August Belmont Trophy for a year but the trays that they receive, depicting the name of every winning Belmont Stakes horse, is theirs to keep forever. Triple Crown Trends
This week brought the disappointing news that no one wanted but many had already suspected. Our 13th Triple Crown winner, Justify, retired from racing. Justify achieved more than I ever would have expected but his 111 day racing career ended sooner than I anticipated. There are several more races I would have enjoyed seeing him participate in but tragically that won’t happen now. This got me to thinking, what are our assumptions about a triple crown winner? Thus, I set out to examine the triple crown trends.
